VIRTUAL WORKSHOP— Noting the overall success of our first virtual workshop in March, more of these are planned for the future. Please contact the AREA Board with (a) your own offer to present a topic, or (b) to suggest future topics for consideration.
NEWSLETTER— Read our Winter 2021 AREA Newsletter.
REMINDER TO CEAs— CEAs must attend a minimum of 1 AREA Conference and 1 AREA Boot Camp every 3 years, accumulate at least 45 accredited CEUs every 3-year period, and pay the necessary recertification fees in order to maintain their CEA credential.
CE CREDIT UPDATES— Due to cancellation of the 2020 conference, the Board has extended the timeframe in which CEA credit must be completed for 1 year from its original date.
THE EARNINGS ANALYST— Find access to Volume 17 (2021) of TEA at www.theearningsanalyst.com, which is an abbreviated “pandemic” issue containing manuscripts that didn’t fit into our 2019 issue, Volume 16. AREA members enjoy FREE access to this reputable journal. The TEA’s Editorial Staff is always on the lookout for new and fresh content. They recently revised the TEA Style Sheet to contain a link to the new electronic manuscript submittal process through Dropbox, making it easier for authors and editorial staff to review TEA submittals and manage peer review and author revisions of transcripts in a timely manner. Our professional TEA journal is a collaborative effort of AREA and CPDE. Please contact Editor Kaycea Campbell (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Co-Editors Nora Ostrofe (email@example.com) and Rachel Duchon (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your questions and interests.
FRIENDS OF THE ASSOCIATION— In addition to being featured at the annual conference, our sponsors get listed for a full year on the AREA web page. The price has not changed and remains at $250. New sponsors (aka: Friends of the Association) are encouraged to participate. Sponsorship of AREA webinars are now an option as well and are available for a significantly reduced rate.
There are other marketing options as well, both on the AREA web page and in our newsletter. An example of our need is to revamp our website. Please contact Bob Paré (email@example.com) for more information. We extend a big thank-you to all sponsors for your invaluable contribution to AREA.
